W4C (Dr. Taneha K. Bacchin) panelist on Horasis India Meeting - annual meeting of Indian business leaders
Co-hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Horasis India Meeting has become the foremost annual meeting of Indian business leaders and their global counterparts and Ministers of the Government of India. The goal of the meeting is to jointly inspire India’s future. Dr. Taneha K. Bacchin, on behalf of W4C and the TU Delft will participate in the panel “Industry-Academic Collaborations to Achieve the SDGs”.

European Universities are increasingly committed to bringing impact for society globally, and academic-industry collaborations in Indian on such topics as negative emissions, water sanitation and urbanism & affordable housing endeavor to this end. India-Netherlands WAH Round Table Water
On July 12th 2021 the Ministry of Economic Affairs (EZK), Dutch Research Council (NWO) and Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) organized a round table as part of a series of round tables to help shape up a new knowledge and innovation agenda with India. The round tables will focus on societal challenges related to Water Agriculture and Health and the cross cutting key enabling technologies. This so called WAH! Agenda which was announced at the Techsummit in New Delhi in October 2019 will help guide future investments in science technology and innovation.
In the session regarding the Highlights of Cooperation, chaired by Dr Neelima Alam, Scientist F, TMD (EWO), DST India, four Indo-Dutch flagship Water programmes were introduced, including DST-NWO Water4Change – presented by Dr Mona Iyer (CEPT University) & Dr Taneha K. Bacchin (TU Delft).

On March 22th 2021 Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM), Calicut, India, partner of W4C research programme organised an international webinar on observance of the World Water Day discussing the topic “Valuing Water”.

Gender Champions on Water: dr. Taneha K. Bacchin and dr. Fransje Hooimeijer featured by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Mumbai and the Attache for Science, Technology and Innovation.
For the occasion of the UN World Water Day dr. Taneha Kuzniecow Bacchin and dr. Fransje Hooimeijer were featured as Dutch gender champion on water, celebrating women in science, by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Mumbai and the Attache for Science, Technology and Innovation, Consulate General of the Kingdom of Netherlands.
The Word Water Day is an annual United Nations observance day held on 22 March to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources). This announcement highlights the contribution of the five year-long Collaborative India-the Netherlands Research Programme ‘Water4Change’ (W4C), funded by the Dutch Research Council (NWO) and the Department of Science and Technology of India (DST).

W4C Programme Awarded at the India—Netherlands TechSummit 2019
During the India-Netherlands TechSummit held in Delhi, October 2019, the project was awarded for the Indio-Dutch Cooperation by the hands of the Indian Minister of Science & Technology and of the King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands.
The India-Netherlands Technology Summit 2019 was the 25th edition of the iconic annual conference-exposition organised jointly by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India.

The Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM), operating under the Government of Kerala has launched the W4C. Under the project, six prominent institutions from Netherlands will perform a long-term research and field level action on urban water management systems along with Indian scientists.
